Dubai Honours Create Apps Champions, Advances Global AI Strategy

Dubai recently celebrated the winners of the third Create Apps Championship, a pivotal event underscoring the emirate’s commitment to fostering digital innovation and talent. The competition attracted a record 9,754 entries from 153 countries, showcasing Dubai’s growing appeal as a global hub for technology development.

The awards ceremony, held at Emirates Towers Boulevard, saw Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed honouring the champions. Across its three editions, the Create Apps Championship has garnered 15,564 applications from around the world, resulting in the development of more than 1,700 prototypes and the successful launch of over 140 applications into the market. This initiative is organised by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, designed to transform innovative app ideas into scalable businesses.

Officials highlighted that the championship serves as a critical platform for innovators to access the necessary support and investment to translate their ideas into tangible impact. The influx of global talent and groundbreaking concepts reinforces Dubai’s strategic positioning within the international technology landscape, aligning with its broader economic development goals.

Further solidifying its digital ambitions, Dubai also launched the AI Agents Championship. This new competition extends the emirate’s focus on practical applications of artificial intelligence, aiming to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of public services. Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that the championship will significantly advance Dubai’s utilisation of AI to deliver faster, easier, and more effective services for residents and businesses.

The introduction of the AI Agents Championship is an open invitation to innovators worldwide, encouraging them to contribute fresh thinking and smart solutions that will bring lasting impact. These initiatives collectively reinforce Dubai’s ongoing efforts to position digital skills, artificial intelligence, and technology entrepreneurship as core pillars of its future economic growth strategy.
