Marjan Group, the master developer of freehold land in Ras Al Khaimah, has entered a new phase of organizational growth by appointing a suite of senior executive leaders. This restructuring comes as the emirate accelerates its transformation into a global tourism and investment hub. The move signifies a transition from a master-planning entity to a multi-vertical powerhouse capable of managing large-scale hospitality and lifestyle destinations. The group has established three primary verticals: Development, Hospitality, and Lifestyle. Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi has been named CEO of Marjan Development. With a deep background in urban planning and previous leadership at RAK Real Estate, he is tasked with overseeing the master plans for flagship projects like Al Marjan Island and the newly announced RAK Central. His focus will be on infrastructure delivery and sustainable urban design. On the hospitality front, Alison Grinnell steps in as CEO of Marjan Hospitality. Formerly the CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding, Grinnell is a recognized leader in the region’s finance and tourism sectors. She will manage the group’s growing portfolio of luxury hotels and branded residences, including the landmark Ritz-Carlton and the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island. Donald Bremner will lead the Lifestyle division. This new sector focuses on creating vibrant, integrated communities that go beyond simple residential sales. By focusing on wellness, retail, and social spaces, the Lifestyle vertical aims to enhance the long-term value of Marjan’s developments. Rounding out the appointments, Omar Mohammed Al Muzakki has been appointed as Head of Government Communications. This strategic shuffle represents Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to institutional excellence. By bringing in industry heavyweights, Marjan Group is positioning itself to handle the exponential growth expected over the coming decade. For investors, this provides a clear signal that the infrastructure and management of the emirate’s most ambitious projects are in experienced hands. The focus remains on delivering high-quality, sustainable projects that align with the RAK Vision 2030, ensuring the market remains resilient and attractive for decades to come.
