The Royal Commission for Makkah City has announced that work has begun on ten five-story residential buildings as part of The Kidana Al Wadi project, which will cover a 33,000-square meter area near the Jamarat facility and is strategically located for Mina accommodations.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Kidana Development Company, and aims to improve guest services, enhance the urban landscape, and facilitate movement around the site.
The project, located near the Jamarat facility, is part of the holy site’s urban development projects, to increase accommodation capacity through modern architectural design and improved services for pilgrims’ comfort.
The Kidana Al Wadi project aims to improve guest services, enhance the urban landscape, and facilitate movement within the site; it can accommodate 30,000 pilgrims.
The Kidana Al Wadi project, which has a total building area of 165,000 square meters, will include essential amenities such as a main prayer hall, outdoor seating area, control room, dining hall, medical clinics, modern kitchens, and waste management facilities for each building, according to the Royal Commission for Makkah City.
All of these buildings have temperature control technologies, and there are measures in place to efficiently manage pedestrian and bus traffic.
Internal corridors are intended to facilitate crowd movement, and twenty power stations with a combined capacity of more than thirty megawatts ensure electricity supply, according to the report.
