According to a statement from Bahrain’s Millet Engineering Bureau, the second phase of the Sama Bay development on the Galali seafront is more than 90% finished.
Sama Bay’s first phase, according to the Bureau, was situated in a desirable beachfront area and totaled 75,000 square meters.
This phase offers a dynamic array of amenities, such as two fully furnished public beaches intended to support leisure and recreational activities, 14 retail spaces with adjustable lease terms, and 14 food trucks incorporated into an outdoor service area.
Millet Engineering Bureau, the company in charge of the Sama Bay project’s design and execution, expressed its happiness at seeing the project on schedule for a swift completion.
According to a Bureau statement, the second phase is a significant step forward, offering a unique selection of waterfront dining establishments intended to provide outstanding culinary experiences in a picturesque location.
According to Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 and the national development objectives stated in Economic Vision 2030, these enhancements are expected to significantly raise the project’s status as a signature destination and a catalyst for both tourism and economic growth.
Along with several sports facilities like a football field, padel courts, and a range of outdoor seating areas dispersed throughout designated relaxation and social zones, it also boasts the ‘Al Nakheel Premium,’ a cutting-edge outdoor fitness gym tucked away in a natural setting, according to the statement.
According to Dr. Salman Alghatam, general manager of the Millet Engineering Bureau, work on Sama Bay has advanced in accordance with the project’s master timeline and the highest engineering and quality standards.
“In a remarkably short span, the project has emerged as a flagship destination for tourism, recreation, and lifestyle activities, drawing widespread interest from Muharraq residents, citizens, and international visitors alike,” stated Dr Alghatam.
“Its strategic coastal setting, combined with thoughtfully designed spaces, offers a seamless and enriching experience that meets a broad spectrum of interests while delivering outstanding quality and comfort,” he added.
Dr. Alghatam noted that the Sama Bay has solidified its position as a vibrant center for community life and wellbeing since the start of Phase I by drawing large crowds of visitors and hosting significant public events like Bahrain Sports Day.
Six architecturally unique buildings with direct sea views, each with space for two restaurants, are part of the project’s second and final phase, which dramatically improves the waterfront experience, he said.
When combined, these 12 locations will provide a wide variety of eating experiences that have been carefully chosen to satisfy a broad spectrum of palates and culinary inclinations, he continued.
