Dubai’s real estate brokerage sector experienced significant growth in 2025, with commissions and transaction volumes rising sharply, highlighting the sector’s growing importance in the emirate’s property market. According to data released by the Dubai Land Department, broker commissions reached AED13.59 billion (approximately $3.7 billion), reflecting a 31% increase compared to 2024.
The rise in commissions was driven by a surge in property transactions handled by brokers. Broker-led deals increased by 54% year-on-year, reaching 96,440 transactions in 2025. The figures emphasize the vital role brokers play in facilitating real estate transactions and maintaining efficiency in Dubai’s highly regulated property market.
Women brokers also played an increasingly significant role in the sector’s expansion. Transactions conducted by female brokers climbed by 49% to 28,909 deals, while the total commissions generated by women surged by 83% to AED2.98 billion (around $811 million).
The number of registered real estate brokers in Dubai also expanded considerably. In 2025, the total reached 32,294 professionals after 13,083 new brokers joined the market, representing a 38% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, the number of licensed brokerage offices grew to 9,785, reflecting the sector’s rapid expansion and structured regulatory framework.
The Dubai Land Department continues to support the sector’s development through initiatives designed to improve sustainability and professional standards. Programs such as the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme aim to increase participation among UAE nationals, while the Real Estate Brokers Incubator Programme helps Emirati brokers establish fully integrated brokerage firms aligned with international best practices.
These initiatives have contributed to stronger participation from Emirati professionals and higher transaction values generated by local brokers, further strengthening Dubai’s dynamic real estate ecosystem.
