How to find the nearest 24-hour pharmacy?
Follow these steps to find a pharmacy in your Abu Dhabi neighborhood:
- Go to Tamm’s website and look for the ‘Get medical treatment’ service – https://www.tamm.abudhabi/journeys/get-medical-treatment/.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the ‘Start’ button.
- Select ‘Search for Medical Providers’ from the ‘Search and Tools’ menu.
- Fill in the information about your present location. Then choose ‘Pharmacy’ from the healthcare establishments’ alternatives.
- Select ‘Open 24 Hours’ from the left-hand menu and check the box for the filter. Then select ‘Apply filters’ from the drop-down menu.
The website will then display a list of all 24-hour pharmacies in your area.
You may obtain their location data and contact information by clicking on ‘View Details’ for each.

How to know if the pharmacy is licensed?
The license number of a healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is required to check its eligibility. On its website, the Department of Health (DOH) maintains a list of all licensed healthcare facilities, along with their license numbers. Follow these steps to get to the list:
- Go to http://www.doh.gov.ae
- Select ‘Shafafiya’ from the top-level menu, then ‘Dictionary’ from the drop-down menu.
- Navigate to the ‘Licenses’ area of the dictionary and select ‘Facilities.’
- An excel sheet with the names, license numbers, area and kind of facility for each DOH-licensed healthcare establishment will be downloaded.
Checking the validity of the license
You can also use the Tamm website to see if the pharmacy’s license is still valid by completing these steps:
- Go to https://www.tamm.abudhabi/en/services/tamm-doh/healthfacilitylicense/.
- Enter the facility’s license number.
- For verification purposes, confirm the Captcha code.
- Select ‘Search’ from the drop-down menu.
The website will then display the status of the facility’s license, including whether it has been approved or is still pending, as well as the services that the establishment is authorized to perform.
