If your Dubai driving theory test is approaching, you can conveniently access the practice test on your smartphone and take it for free to adequately prepare.
The practice test can be found on the ‘RTA Dubai’ app, developed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). This user-friendly app is accessible to both Apple and Android users, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
Step 1: Sign in to your RTA account
To access the convenient features of the RTA Dubai app, simply download it from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once the app is installed, navigate to the homepage and locate the ‘Login/Register’ button. Tap on it to proceed.
At this point, you have two options. You can either sign in using your UAE Pass or create a new account directly within the RTA Dubai app. If you choose to create an account, please provide your complete name, Emirates ID number, date of birth, mobile number, and email address.
Alternatively, if you opt for the UAE Pass login, you will enjoy the benefit of instant access to the app. Moreover, your learning file information will be seamlessly recognized and integrated into the system.
Step 2: Access the practice theory test
To proceed, continue swiping to the right until you locate the ‘Driver and Licensing’ section. Then, tap on the ‘Practice theory test’ option.
Step 3: Select your language and vehicle
You will have the option to choose which language you want to use to practice for the test, the following options are:
• Arabic
• English
• Bengali
• Urdu
• Malayalam
• Farsi
• Russian
• Chinese
Next, you need to choose the appropriate vehicle. Your selection will depend on the type of driving license you are applying for. Please consider the following options:
- Light Motor Vehicle
- Truck and bus
- Motorcycle
- Light bus
You can then start the practice test.
What to expect?
The practice test comprises 35 questions that must be answered within a 30-minute timeframe.
Once you have finished the test, you will be able to view your correct answers highlighted in green, while the incorrect ones will be marked in red.
Additionally, the RTA learner’s handbook offers a few practice questions towards the end. However, if you wish to acquaint yourself with the testing procedure and practice completing the exam within the given time limit, the online practice theory test proves to be beneficial.
How to schedule the theory test?
After successfully completing all the theory classes offered by the driving school, they will assist you in arranging the date and time for your driving test. It is important to note that this scheduled date can be changed if necessary, but it must be done at least 48 hours prior to the original appointment.
