The Dubai property market continues to demonstrate resilience despite ongoing regional tensions, according to leading Emirati real estate developer Mohamed Alabbar. The founder and CEO of Emaar Properties expressed strong confidence that the sector will remain stable even as a large volume of new real estate supply is expected to enter the market in 2026 and 2027.
Speaking in a recent interview, Alabbar emphasized that Dubai’s property market is built on long-term ambitions rather than short-term speculation. He stated that developers and investors in the emirate are focused on sustainable growth and decades-long development plans. While acknowledging the possibility of a temporary market adjustment as new inventory enters the market, he said the outlook remains positive.
Alabbar also shared a personal example to illustrate the strength of demand. While recently searching for a seafront apartment for himself, he noted that sellers showed no willingness to reduce prices. According to him, the absence of discounts reflects the confidence property owners have in Dubai’s real estate market.
Another factor supporting the sector’s stability, he explained, is the UAE’s cautious lending environment. Unlike many global markets that rely heavily on bank financing, Dubai’s property sector operates with stricter borrowing limits. This reduces the risk of credit-driven property bubbles and helps protect the market from sudden downturns.
Addressing concerns about geopolitical uncertainty, Alabbar said the UAE continues to attract global investors due to its consistent policies, stable leadership, and safe investment environment. He noted that investors with long-term capital recognize the country’s commitment to sustainability and strategic planning.
Industry experts also point out that Dubai’s real estate sector has continued to record high-value transactions, including deals exceeding $100 million, highlighting the emirate’s status as a global hub for property investment.
