In addition to receiving roadside assistance from qualified service providers, police departments in each Emirate also give specific phone numbers that drivers can contact to request assistance in the event of a vehicle breakdown.

Does my car insurance cover roadside assistance?
Roadside help may be included in the service package at the time of a new or used car purchase. If not, roadside assistance is also a benefit of your auto insurance. Asking your insurance agent if the policy covers roadside assistance for different circumstances, such as refueling, mechanical breakdown, and towing service is advisable. Some insurance providers may also give you a card for roadside assistance, which you can keep in your wallet in case of an emergency.
Research local towing service providers and make sure you have some of their phone numbers saved with you in case of an emergency if your insurance company does not provide roadside help.
Abu Dhabi
You can occasionally be able to get free towing and roadside assistance in Abu Dhabi. If your vehicle breaks down while you are driving on one of Abu Dhabi’s main routes, you can call the Road Service Patrol (RSP), which is part of the Integrated Transport Center, the Emirate’s transportation agency, for roadside help (ITC). RSP offers towing services in addition to helping you if your car breaks down. It also controls traffic, secures accident scenes, removes broken-down cars from important roads, and supervises traffic flow.
The patrol service is provided around the clock and is free. Currently, the RSP covers the major thoroughfares in Al Ain, Al Dhafra, and Abu Dhabi.

How does one know if they are on the main road?
RSP’s patrol service is limited to Abu Dhabi’s motorways. Look at the road number to determine if you are on a highway; if the road number begins with an “E,” you are.
How do one contact the Road Service Patrol (RSP) in Abu Dhabi?
You can get in touch with RSP by calling their hotline at 800 850, selecting 1 for RSP after selecting 1 for ITC. Additionally, you can get in touch with RSP through the Darbi mobile app, which is accessible on both Apple and Android devices.
What happens if my car breaks down on a road that is not a major thoroughfare?
You can contact Abu Dhabi Police’s non-emergency phone center at 800 3333 if your automobile breaks down on an internal road (one that is not a freeway or an “E” road). However, you would need to contact a towing service provider if you need assistance, such as having your automobile towed.
Dubai
You can reach the Dubai Police’s non-emergency phone center at 901 for assistance with minor traffic accidents and vehicle breakdowns.

You would need to get in touch with a towing service provider if your car needed to be towed. If your auto insurance does not include towing service, you can contact a provider of automobile recovery services by searching online.
Northern Emirates
You can use the Ministry of Interior’s 999 emergency helpline if your automobile breaks down and you are in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, or Umm Al Quwain. No matter where you are in the Emirates, this is true.
The local police force of that Emirate will contact you for assistance when you call 999 and give the operator your location.
