With the acquisition of land near the coveted Dubai World Trade Center Metro Station 2, Azizi Developments has completed its most noticeable plot acquisition in recent times. It is unknown what Azizi intends to construct there.
A “huge iconic development” that will include housing, a hotel, and shops is currently being designed by the developer. “We will develop a building that will be unlike anything we – or anyone else for that matter – have ever built before, not only in the UAE but beyond,” said Mirwais Azizi, Founder, and Chairman of Azizi Developments.
The World Trade Center Metro Station 2 is nearby, and the land is in an excellent location. No plans have been released for the area. The Meydan City Corporation sold the land. According to Issam Galadari, CEO of Meydan City Corporation, “Azizi Developments have expertise in creating not only buildings but significant landmarks, incorporating designs which reflect the culture and spirit of the UAE.”
Intent on delivery
Azizi had spoken about constructing twin skyscrapers on Shaikh Zayed Road before the COVID epidemic. However, the real estate market experienced a decline in demand, there were concerns of an oversupply, and those plans were put on hold.
The largest new investment that Azizi has made recently is the agreement with Meydan City Corp. It has just added a 24-building cluster to its Riviera neighborhood in MBR City, where it had previously concentrated on finishing up existing phases. Additionally, work was finished at Dubai Healthcare City and the Palm.
Hyper-focus on SZR
Thus, the most recent land purchase for Azizi marks a big shift from the recent history. However, with Damac constructing flashy back-to-back projects at Safa, the attraction of a high-rise in and surrounding SZR continues. Numerous active projects, many of which fall into the luxury category, are also present on the Canal side.
