If you’re unable to make it to the beach during the day or simply seeking refuge from the scorching summer sun, fret not! You can still relish Dubai’s public beaches at night.

Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing swim or a leisurely walk, Dubai Municipality operates a plethora of public beaches that are accessible 24/7. Here’s a list of the beaches you can visit at any time of the day or night.

Night swimming now allowed on three Dubai beaches

Dubai Municipality has recently announced the introduction of night swimming at three of its public beaches on May 14. With the installation of 800-meter-high light towers and electronic screens displaying safety awareness content, residents and tourists can now enjoy swimming around the clock. However, it is recommended that beachgoers only engage in night swimming within designated zones and avoid venturing into the sea from other areas.

To ensure the highest safety standards, the beaches are equipped with qualified lifeguards who are outfitted with state-of-the-art rescue and emergency instruments. This move by Dubai Municipality is a testament to its commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all beachgoers. So, if you’re looking for a unique and thrilling experience, head over to one of these beaches and take a dip under the stars!

1. Jumeirah 2 Beach

This stunning beach boasts an innovative open-gym concept, a well-maintained jogging track, and a picturesque boardwalk. In addition to these amenities, visitors can enjoy a variety of other facilities, including comfortable beach lounges, a fun-filled playground area, and a convenient beach access corridor designed specifically for individuals with disabilities and the elderly. For those seeking a little mental stimulation, the beach also features a unique ‘beach library’ stocked with books suitable for all ages. Come and experience the ultimate beach day at this one-of-a-kind destination!

Location: This beach strip, also known as Jumeirah Open Beach, can be found by driving down Jumeirah Beach Road (D94) after passing Mercato Mall. It’s a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, offering stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and a wide range of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and beach volleyball. Don’t miss the chance to visit this beautiful destination during your stay in Dubai.

2. Jumeirah 3 Beach

The Jumeirah 3 beach boasts a stunning 1,980-meter stretch of pristine sand and crystal-clear waters. It is the perfect destination for sports enthusiasts, offering a range of facilities such as a designated kite surfing area, a jogging track, a boardwalk, and fitness areas equipped with state-of-the-art gym equipment.

But that’s not all – the Jumeirah 3 beach also features a unique attraction known as the ‘happiness platform.’ This 125-meter-long platform is equipped with comfortable seating, providing visitors with the perfect vantage point to soak in Dubai’s breathtaking sunsets or indulge in recreational fishing.

Whether you’re looking to stay active or simply unwind and take in the stunning scenery, the Jumeirah 3 beach is the perfect destination for a day of fun in the sun.

Location: The beach strip is the third one you will come across when driving down Jumeirah Beach Road (D94). Accessing the beach is easy, simply take Umm Al Sheif Road from Sheikh Zayed Road (E11).

3. Umm Suqeim 1 Beach

Located in the Jumeirah area, this stunning beach stretches for an impressive 2.4 kilometers and boasts breathtaking views of the iconic Burj Al Arab. Known as ‘Kite Beach’, this popular destination offers a range of exciting sports facilities, including a designated kite surfing area, a jogging track, and a boardwalk.

But that’s not all – families with young children will be delighted to discover the playground areas, while those with disabilities or the elderly can easily access the beach via specially designed corridors.

For those seeking a thrill, motorized water sports such as jet skis and banana boats are available in designated areas, ensuring the safety of swimmers. Whether you’re looking to soak up the sun, enjoy a refreshing swim, or indulge in some adrenaline-pumping water sports, Kite Beach has something for everyone.

Location: This beach is located adjacent to Jumeirah Beach (D94). To get to the beach, simply turn right onto 11A street and navigate through the internal community roads. The beach is easily accessible and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Whether you’re looking to relax in the sun or take a refreshing dip in the water, this beach is the perfect destination for a day of fun and relaxation.

24/7 night beaches in Dubai

In addition to the three beaches mentioned earlier, Dubai boasts several other beaches that are worth visiting at night. Although night swimming is prohibited, visitors can still enjoy the boardwalks, jogging tracks, playgrounds, and open gyms that are available on these beaches at any time. It’s important to note that swimming is only permitted from sunrise to sunset when trained lifeguards are present to ensure the safety of all beachgoers.

1. Jumeirah 1 Beach

This stunning beach is exclusively designated for swimming and boasts a 1,350-meter jogging track, perfect for those who want to stay active while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

As per the Dubai Municipality, this public beach is a serene oasis that is mostly frequented by residents in the Jumeirah area. It offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Located on the right-hand side of Jumeirah Beach Road (D94) towards Abu Dhabi, this beach is easily accessible and offers ample parking facilities. So, whether you’re a local or a tourist, make sure to add this beach to your must-visit list and experience the tranquility it has to offer.

2. Umm Suqeim 2 Beach

Located just one kilometer before the iconic Burj Al Arab, lies a stunning beach that stretches for an impressive 615 meters. This beach boasts separate areas for swimming and surfing, ensuring that all beach-goers can enjoy their preferred water activities without any interference.

But that’s not all – for those who prefer to stay on land, a dedicated jogging track is available for a refreshing workout. The beach also provides lounges for the public, allowing visitors to relax and soak up the sun in comfort. Additionally, a beach access corridor is available for People of Determination and the elderly, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beach safely and comfortably.

For those looking for a change of scenery, Umm Suqeim Park is located nearby, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

To access this beautiful beach, simply take a right at 41A street and navigate through the internal community roads. With its stunning views and ample amenities, this beach is the perfect destination for a day of fun in the sun.

3. Al Mamzar Corniche Beach

Located in Dubai, this serene beach strip stretches for an impressive 760 meters. It is the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing swim, away from the hustle and bustle of water sports. The beach also offers a range of amenities, including children’s playgrounds and accessible beach access corridors for individuals with disabilities and the elderly. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the beach library, which boasts a diverse collection of books suitable for all ages.

To access this tranquil oasis, simply drive down Al Khaleej Street (D92). The beach strip is conveniently located before the Al Mamzar Beach Park on this route.

4. Al Mamzar Lagoon Beach

This stunning beach spans 3.5 kilometers and is exclusively reserved for swimming, free from any water sports activities. In addition to its pristine waters, the beach boasts fitness areas equipped with state-of-the-art gym equipment, a walking and jogging track, and a bicycle track.

To find this hidden gem, simply take a drive down Al Khaleej Street (D92), passing by the Al Mamzar Corniche beach and Al Mamzar Park. The lagoon beach will be located on your left-hand side, waiting to offer you a serene and refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Transportation Options to Reach Kite Beach
