Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has commenced work on Dubai Creek Gardens, a significant residential development valued at Dh3 billion within DHCC Phase 2. This project, spearheaded by Global Partners Ltd, is set to introduce over 1,400 homes across a sprawling 127,000 square metres overlooking Dubai Creek.
Designed as a low-density community, Dubai Creek Gardens prioritises green spaces, outdoor living, and overall wellbeing. A substantial 70% of the development is earmarked for landscaped gardens, parks, sports facilities, and other open areas, underscoring a commitment to sustainable living. A notable feature of the development will be the introduction of the UAE’s inaugural Westin and Renaissance branded residences, a collaboration with Marriott International, complementing the diverse mix of residential properties, retail outlets, and dining experiences planned for the community.
The groundbreaking ceremony, marking the official start of construction, saw attendance from key representatives of Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), Global Partners Ltd, Mirage Leisure and Development, OCTA Properties, BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH, and Marriott International. This collective involvement highlights the strategic importance of the project.
Dubai Creek Gardens aligns with Dubai’s broader urban development strategies, specifically the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. These frameworks emphasise creating greener, more liveable communities and fostering sustainable development with enhanced recreational facilities. The project is anticipated to enrich the residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings within DHCC Phase 2, further solidifying its position as an integrated destination for healthcare, wellness living, and contemporary urban lifestyles.
With completion slated for 2030, Dubai Creek Gardens enters a market driven by consistent population growth in Dubai, which is projected to reach 5.8 million residents by 2040. This demand fuels the need for high-quality residential communities that offer a balance of amenities and green infrastructure. To bolster long-term investment in Dubai, DHCA has also become a founding shareholder of the Global Partners Property Fund II, a dedicated vehicle designed to support ongoing development within DHCC.
Issam Galadari, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, noted that the Dh3 billion investment reflects strong investor confidence in DHCC Phase 2. He affirmed, “Developments of this scale and quality contribute to our vision for the destination by creating an environment where people can live, work and access world-class healthcare and wellness services within one connected ecosystem.” This statement underlines the project’s role in DHCC’s strategic expansion, integrating essential services with a focus on community wellbeing.
