The official Jawazat account, previously known as Twitter, posted this reminder on Monday, September 2nd, emphasizing the mandatory requirement to register your child’s or other family members’ fingerprints to access various services, including the exit/re-entry visa.

How to book a Jawazat appointment for biometrics
- To access the Absher website, simply go to absher.sa and log in using your Absher account credentials.
- Once logged in, navigate to the services page and locate the ‘Appointments’ category. From there, select ‘Passport’ to proceed.
- Click on ‘Proceed to Service’ and then ‘Book a new appointment’ to begin the process.
- When prompted to choose the type of appointment, select ‘Resident Services’ from the options provided.
- Next, choose your region and the nearest Jawazat office where you would like to schedule your appointment.
- Select a convenient time and date from the available slots to secure your appointment.
- After finalizing all the details, click on ‘Confirm appointment details’ to complete the booking process.
When you arrive at the office, please ensure you have a printed copy or screenshot of your confirmed appointment, as well as your passport and Iqama. Kindly inform the agents that you are there to complete your child’s biometrics. They will then provide you with a form to fill out with your personal details before proceeding to scan the fingerprints.
How to check the biometric status online?
Once your child’s fingerprints have been scanned, it is important to verify online that the biometrics have been successfully registered with Jawazat and the Ministry of Interior (MOI) system. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do so:
- Begin by logging into the Absher website at absher.sa using your Absher account credentials.
2. Once logged in, navigate to the services page and click on ‘Inquiries.’ From there, locate the ‘Passports’ section and select ‘Public Query Finger Print Enrolment.’
3. Enter the Iqama number (ID number) and the captcha code provided, then click on ‘View.’
Upon completing these steps, you will be presented with one of two outcomes: either the fingerprint enrolment has been successfully updated, or you will receive a message stating ‘no records found,’ indicating that the information has not yet been updated in the system.
