Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi is the only location in the city’s centre that can honestly make this claim beaches with picture-perfect sands and turquoise sea, some of the top hotels in the city, and a tonne of culture.

Saadiyat Island, which translates to “island of happiness,” is a natural island and a project promoting tourism and culture. On this lovely island, which is also the location of New York University Abu Dhabi, Berklee Abu Dhabi, and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, there is something for everyone.

There are five magnificent hotels and resorts around the coastline, each having a private beach just for in-house visitors. The stunning Soul Beach in Mamsha Al Saadiyat is as lovely as it gets for a day trip to Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi.

Speaking about culture, the performing arts season at the Arts Center at NYUAD is a highlight each year for those looking for outstanding shows and mind-blowing events.

Manarat Al Saadiyat is located only down the street toward the Cultural District, where the famous Louvre Abu Dhabi will soon be joined by other equally large museums such as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, The Natural History Museum, teamLab Phenomena, and Zayed National Museum. Whatever you’re looking for, Saadiyat has a tonne of activities to offer.

Things To Do on Saadiyat Island

Here are some of the best things to do on Saadiyat Island:

  • Arts and culture on Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi

The greatest of Abu Dhabi’s arts and culture can be found on Saadiyat Island, which is home to a number of renowned cultural organisations.

The Zayed National Museum, which uses its exhibits to describe the history of the nation, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which holds a collection of artwork from all over the world, are both located on the island.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the biggest mosques in the world, and The Emirates Palace hotel, a spectacular example of Arabic architecture, are two more highlights of Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi’s arts and culture.

On Saadiyat Island, there are various heritage sites, including Sir Bani Yas Island and Heritage Village, for visitors who want to learn more about Abu Dhabi’s traditional culture. Additionally, there are a number of art and craft studios where you may discover more about Emirati culture and practise traditional pursuits like calligraphy and pottery.

Public beaches

Kai Beach

White sand, stunning blues, with the sporadic sea turtle poking its head above the waves. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi are both close to Kai Beach Saadiyat. If the area seems familiar, it’s because Kai is occupying the space that once belonged to Saadiyat Public Beach. Saadiyat Beach Club is now in charge of overseeing the new Abu Dhabi beach, which is open every day from sunrise to sunset. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations.

Soul Beach

Let alone on Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi, Soul Beach is unquestionably one of the most stunning places in the nation. Could you possibly want more than Saadiyat blues and powdery white sands? On weekdays, entry is Dhs 50 for adults and Dhs 25 for children; on weekends, it is Dhs 70 for adults and Dhs 40 for children. There are many great eateries at Mamsha if you’re thinking about where to eat after your beach day. Plan to stay for the entire day, but don’t forget your sunscreen.

Relaxing Activities on Saadiyat Island

Unwind at Saadiyat Beach Club

Saadiyat Beach Club is a lifestyle facility in Abu Dhabi that is 39,500 square metres in size. The location boasts access to the private beach, modern dining establishments, spa facilities, and private cabanas.

Direct access to Saadiyat Beach is provided, allowing you to take in the stunning scenery and unwind to the sound of the ocean lapping the shore. Each of them features modern restaurants, spas, swimming pools, and rooms.

  • The best time to visit Saadiyat Island

Here’s a breakdown of the best times to visit Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi :

  • Winter (December to February)

  • Spring (March to May)

Another fantastic time to visit Saadiyat Island is in the spring when the weather starts to warm up while still being agreeable for all the outdoor activities. This is also one of the busiest seasons of the year, so if you’re planning a vacation around this time, make sure you reserve lodging and travel in advance.

  • Summer (June to August)

On Saadiyat Island, the summer is the busiest season, so prepare for people and higher rates. Summer is an excellent time to visit, though, if you don’t mind the heat (temperatures can exceed 40 degrees Celsius).
