According to the most recent notification by the authorities, masks are no longer required in open and closed facilities, nor is a Green Pass required to access Abu Dhabi. “Today, we announce the lifting of all restrictions and precautionary measures related to #COVID19.”
Phase 2 of reducing COVID-19 limitations throughout the nation was officially declared in this way by the UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), and it began at 6 am today (November 7, 2022).
You no longer need to wear masks in open and closed facilities locations, nor do you need to display a Green Pass on the Al Hosn app to enter public spaces, thanks to the revisions to the COVID-19 protocol that have been revealed. However, there are specific situations in which PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests and mask requirements still apply.
Here are the details.
Al Hosn App
– A Green Pass is not necessary to access public facilities or places.
– The usage of the Al Hosn app will be restricted to providing confirmation of vaccination and test results both inside and outside of the country.
Wearing masks
– The use of masks is not required in any facilities, open or closed.
– Masks continue to be required at hospitals and centers for People of Determination.
COVID-19 facilities
– Healthcare facilities that do COVID-19 PCR testing and therapy will continue to function normally.
Mosques and praying facilities
– Using a personal prayer mat is not required in mosques or other places of worship.
Sporting events and activities
– Depending on the nature or significance of the activity, organizing bodies at the national and municipal levels may ask for pre-examinations or vaccination certificates.
- The COVID-19 virus isolation period of five days will continue to be in operation.
The NCEMA also noted that all the measures described are subject to revision in light of changes in the nation’s epidemiological condition during the press conference on November 6, when the updates were announced.
