GCC residents can apply for a 30-day UAE eVisa

If you reside in any of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and wish to visit the UAE for either a vacation or a business trip, you have the option to apply for a 30-day eVisa online.

The eVisa application for GCC residents can be accessed through the official online services platform of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) at smartservices.icp.gov.ae.

Documents required for GCC residents’ eVisa

• A valid residence visa from one of the GCC countries is required, and it should have a minimum validity of three months.
• A copy of a valid passport is necessary, and the passport itself should be valid for at least six months.
• Ensure that the passport-sized photo you upload meets the standards and requirements set by ICP.

If you are traveling with family members, such as your spouse or children, you will need to provide proof of kinship when applying for their visa.

Furthermore, certain nationalities may be asked to provide their home country’s national ID.

1. In order to access the eVisa application online through the ICP Smart Service Platform, it is necessary to have a UAE Pass account. The UAE Pass account serves as the national digital identity for citizens, residents, and visitors in the UAE. 2. To begin the process, visit the website smartservices.icp.gov.ae and scroll down to log in. You can log in using either your email and password or your UAE Pass account.
3. Once logged in, you will be directed to your personal dashboard.
4. From there, select the ICP department of the emirate you are planning to travel to. For example, if you are traveling to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, click on the Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship\Abu Dhabi or Sharjah.
5. In the department’s section, search for the service titled ‘Issue Entry Permit For GCC Resident’.
6. Click on ‘Start Service’ to initiate the application process.
7. Fill in the application form and upload the necessary documents based on the information provided in the form.
8. After completing the application, you will receive a transaction number or request number. This number can be used to track the status of your visa application.

2. On the website’s homepage, enter the 15-digit request number in the ‘Quick Search’ bar.
