At the well-known Umm Suqeim Beach, you may lay in the sun, stroll along the shore, and surf. One of Dubai’s most well-known attractions, the Burj Al Arab, a luxurious hotel with sail-like architecture, can be seen from this lovely beach area.
Umm Suqeim is a free public beach that is accessible twenty-four hours a day, unlike many of the city’s beaches which are private and connected to hotels or resorts.
Go snorkelling in the Gulf as a break from tanning and lounging in the sand. You might be able to observe starfish, sea urchins, crabs, and other kinds of marine life in the clear water.
Surfers frequent Umm Suqeim Beach during the finest surfing months of October through April for its waves and warm water. Head out into the swells after renting a board from the nearby Surf Dubai surf school. Surfers at the beginning and intermediate levels can take lessons at the institution. Since there are no cafes or restaurants on the beach, you must bring your own food and beverages. Visit the café at Umm Suqeim Park instead, which is across the street. The park is only accessible to women and kids on weekdays. Additionally, you’ll need to pack your own beach umbrellas. Showers, change huts, and a covered area are the only beach amenities available here.
During the day, the beach can become crowded, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. Arrive early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds.
Umm Suqeim Beach, which lies in the western part of Dubai, is just over 16 kilometres (10 miles) from the city centre and is easily accessible by both public transportation and a car. Parking is available on the nearby streets, and First Gulf Bank on the Red Line is the closest metro station.
