The Ministry of Interior in the UAE offers this service in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. A permit is issued to allow parking in designated spots for people with disabilities, excluding those with hearing impairments.

Northern Emirates
To apply for a parking permit in a Northern Emirate such as Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, or Fujairah, you must visit the traffic police department in the respective emirate with all necessary documents.
Required documents:
– Card for Individuals with Disabilities, issued by the relevant agency.
– Vehicle registration card.
Enhance your accessibility with the Card for Individuals with Disabilities, provided by the appropriate agency. Additionally, ensure your vehicle is properly registered with the vehicle registration card.
Additional Requirements:
Dubai residents seeking to apply for a People of Determination parking permit in a Northern Emirate must provide proof of Dubai citizenship, a residence visa from Dubai, work attestation from Dubai, or any other evidence of residing in Dubai.
In Sharjah, only vehicles registered in the emirate will be eligible for the permit.
Applicants in Ras Al Khaimah must submit a medical report along with their application.
For Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, applicants are required to present their Emirates IDs.
Abu Dhabi
Motorists in Abu Dhabi can apply for the permit through the Ministry of Interior’s smartphone application, MOI UAE, or on the Ministry’s website at www.moi.gov.ae.

To apply for a People of Determination Parking Permit, please register through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) website or the smart app using your Emirates ID or UAE Pass.
Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Vehicle services’ section and select ‘People of Determination Parking Permits’. Fill in your personal information, including your mobile number, details of your medical condition, and address.
Next, provide the details of the vehicle or vehicles for which you are requesting the permit.
After completing the application, you will receive a tracking ID for your request. This ID can be used to track the status of your application.
Fees
The parking permit is issued free of charge.
