Dubai’s real estate sector experienced substantial growth in the first seven and a half months of 2026, with 186 new property development companies establishing operations in the emirate. Data from the Dubai Land Department (DLD) indicates a consistent influx of approximately 25 new developers each month during this period, signaling robust expansion and sustained investor confidence in Dubai’s capacity for development.
This significant entry of new entities underscores Dubai’s reinforced standing as a premier regional and international destination for property developers. The majority of these new entrants, specifically 180 companies, secured their licenses from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, highlighting its central role in facilitating market access.
Beyond the primary licensing body, other key institutions also contributed to this growth. Trakhees, the licensing authority under Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, responsible for development activities in areas such as Dubai Maritime City, granted three new licenses within the property sector. Additionally, the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development issued two licenses, while Expo City Dubai granted one, further diversifying the regulatory pathways for new businesses.
This broadened base of developers extends beyond the established market players, introducing a wider array of companies to Dubai’s property landscape. The steady inflow is anticipated to heighten competition across the market, leading to a more diverse range of projects and property types available to both buyers and investors. Such expansion strengthens Dubai’s position as one of the most active property markets in the region, consistently attracting international capital and development expertise. The continued establishment of new development firms reinforces the emirate’s dynamic real estate ecosystem and its appeal as a global investment hub.
