Emaar Properties PJSC has reported a strong financial start to 2026, driven by sustained demand across its core segments and a robust, diversified business model. The Dubai-based developer announced substantial increases in property sales and revenue, reinforcing its market position.
For the first quarter of 2026, Emaar’s property sales reached approximately AED 22.4 billion (US$ 6.1 billion), marking a 16% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This growth was attributed to continued demand within its established communities and successful new project launches across the UAE. The company’s revenue backlog also saw considerable expansion, standing at approximately AED 163.4 billion (US$ 44.5 billion) as of March 31, 2026. This represents a 29% year-on-year increase, providing strong revenue visibility for the upcoming years.
Total revenue for the quarter reached AED 12.4 billion (US$ 3.4 billion), a 23% rise from Q1 2025. This was supported by contributions from both UAE and international operations. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 34% to AED 7.2 billion (US$ 2 billion), with net profit before tax also increasing by 33% to AED 7.2 billion (US$ 2 billion). International development accounted for approximately 5.3% of the total Group revenue during this period.
Emaar’s diversified business model includes significant recurring revenue-generating assets. The company manages approximately 1.4 million square meters of leasing revenue-generating assets and operates 41 hotels and resorts, comprising over 10,000 keys globally. Around 28% of Emaar’s total revenue is derived from its shopping malls, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, commercial leasing, and international businesses. The malls, retail, and commercial leasing portfolio delivered resilient growth, with revenue up 15% year-on-year to AED 1.8 billion (US$ 0.5 billion) and EBITDA growing 16% to AED 1.5 billion (US$ 0.4 billion). The average occupancy across this portfolio stood at 98% as of March 31, 2026.
Key assets such as Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, and Dubai Fountain continue to underpin Emaar’s brand strength and attract significant footfall. Since 2002, Emaar has delivered over 129,100 residential units in Dubai and other global markets, demonstrating its proven track record in large-scale property development.
