Sharjah’s Central and Eastern regions collectively registered property transactions valued at Dh1.1 billion during the first half of 2026, signaling robust investor confidence and expanding real estate activity beyond the traditional urban core of Sharjah city. Data released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department indicates a total of more than 16,300 real estate transactions were completed across these areas.
Transaction value was predominantly led by Kalba, while the Central Region recorded the highest volume of sales. Omar Al Mansouri, Director of the Branches Department at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, commented that this strong performance underscores the success of the Sharjah Government’s long-term development strategy. Al Mansouri emphasized, “The Central and Eastern Regions have become an integral part of Sharjah’s real estate landscape, successfully attracting growing investor interest during the first half of 2026.”
The sustained investment in critical infrastructure, coupled with an integrated investment environment and expanding urban developments, has significantly enhanced the appeal of emerging cities and areas across the emirate. This strategic approach has diversified real estate activity beyond previously established investment zones, with the department continually refining digital services and streamlining procedures to boost transaction efficiency.
Mortgage activity remained a significant component of the market, with 452 mortgage transactions totaling Dh335 million recorded during the first six months of the year. Kalba led this segment with 239 transactions, followed by Khor Fakkan with 121, the Central Region with 82, and Dibba Al Hisn registering 10 mortgage transactions.
Residential properties dominated the transaction landscape, accounting for 13,501 deals, or 82.2 percent of all sales. Industrial properties followed with 1,969 transactions, representing 12 percent of the total. Commercial properties secured 937 transactions, making up 5.7 percent, demonstrating broad-based demand across Sharjah’s diverse property market segments.
