His Highness Ajman’s ruler and member of the Supreme Council, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, has issued Law No. 1 of 2026, which replaces the Rental Disputes Committee with the Rental Dispute Resolution Center.
In addition to upholding the values of justice and guaranteeing the prompt settlement of rental disputes, the new law seeks to improve the legislative framework governing landlord-tenant relations.
According to the statute, the center will function as a specialized judicial authority in charge of resolving conflicts between landlords and renters using precise, well-defined processes that are in line with accepted legal and judicial best practices.
The law aims to protect everyone’s rights, promote stability in the real estate industry, improve efficiency and openness in rental case resolution, and bolster Ajman’s investment climate.
Rental conflicts pertaining to properties located throughout the emirate, including those in free zones, will fall under the center’s jurisdiction. Additionally, it will endeavor to expedite legal proceedings in order to provide timely justice and support social and economic stability for those involved in Ajman’s real estate leasing industry.
