Sharjah: Arada has awarded the first two contracts for Masaar, the 10 million square foot mega community which is based in the Suyoh district of Sharjah.
The Dh8 billion project was launched in January this year having 4,000 villas and townhouses set in eight gated communities, all situated in a forested and nature-filled master plan.
The contract for infrastructure design and supervision consultancy services at Masaar was granted to US engineering consultancy Parsons Overseas Limited, which will administer all parts of infrastructure delivery for the undertaking, including streets, water, force, and drainage, guaranteeing full integration with the general all-inclusive strategy.
The contract to build the Masaar Experience Center has been granted to contracting organization ASGC Construction. Construction will start immediately and is booked to be finished within six months. As a feature of the same agreement, Masaar’s first property, a five-room show villa in the Sendian region of the community, will also be built and completed before the end of 2021.

We have witnessed strong demand for properties within the first phase of Masaar, in line with the robust performance of Sharjah’s real estate sector during the first five months of this year,” said Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada.
The heart of the master plan, the Masaar Experience Centre will give visitors and future residents a glance of what living in the community would be like once it is finished. Its minimal design language shows the architecture of Masaar whereas the transparency of the façade builds a dialogue between the interior spaces and the lush green landscape that compliments the building.
