Ramadan has arrived! With the changes in work and school hours, adjustments have also been made to public service hours in the UAE. From paid parking hours to car testing center timings, everything may have slightly different schedules during this holy month.

Heavy vehicles – change in travel times

On Sunday, March 10, Abu Dhabi Police announced a modification to the travel schedule for trucks and buses carrying 50 passengers or more. These vehicles will be prohibited from operating during peak hours in the morning and evening throughout the month of Ramadan. The restricted hours are from 8 to 10 am and 2 to 4 pm, specifically in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

On March 7, the Sharjah Roads and Transportation Authority, in collaboration with the Sharjah Police General Command, announced amendments to the timing of truck traffic during Ramadan on the streets of the emirate. The goal is to alleviate traffic congestion caused by the departure of employees and students from schools. As of now, there are no modifications planned for Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
