If you are caught with an illegal substance, you will be deported after serving four years in prison. ID Card:

Islamic Law (Sharia):
Until proven guilty, a person is presumed innocent under Sharia Law, just like under other legal systems. Both the plaintiff and defendant are equal in the court of the law. Apostasy, murder, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and theft are crimes that carry definite punishments under Islamic law.
So, if you want to work and live in Dubai, you are required to abide by the law of UAE.
