Sharjah’s real estate sector continues to demonstrate remarkable strength and stability, according to the latest data from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department. The emirate recorded a total transaction value of AED 3.1 billion in the most recent monthly reporting period. This performance highlights the growing confidence of both local and international investors in Sharjah’s property market, which is increasingly recognized for its balance of cultural heritage and modern urban living.
The report reveals that a total of 5,145 transactions were completed during the month. Notably, sales transactions saw a significant increase of 12.4% compared to previous periods. This rise in sales volume is a clear indicator of a healthy demand for property ownership, particularly within the emirate’s expanding freehold areas. Investors from 85 different nationalities have been active in the market, showing that Sharjah’s appeal now reaches far beyond regional borders.
Residential properties remain the most popular choice for buyers, with areas such as Muwaileh Commercial, Al Khan, and Al Majaz leading the transaction volume. However, the industrial and commercial sectors also contributed steadily to the overall figures, reflecting the emirate’s diverse economic base. Mortgage transactions accounted for approximately AED 600 million of the total value, suggesting that financial institutions remain supportive and confident in the long-term value of Sharjah’s real estate assets.
The government’s ongoing investment in infrastructure and its commitment to transparent regulatory frameworks are key drivers of this growth. By focusing on creating family-oriented communities and enhancing the ease of doing business, Sharjah has successfully positioned itself as a resilient and attractive destination for property investment. As more high-quality projects reach completion, the market is expected to maintain this positive momentum, offering sustainable returns for homeowners and investors alike.
